I’m Rhys Wedlock of the Foreign Languages Department.
How are you?

Last week I took my first year students to Taichung in Taiwan for one week’s Chinese study.
We all took Chinese lessons together,
and my students had a lot of man-to-man Chinese practice with Taiwanese students.

At lunchtime the Taiwanese students took us to buy local food,
and in the evening we went to night markets and to a beautiful temple.
We also had a one-day sightseeing tour, and experienced some traditional culture.
It was very interesting.

We all became better at Chinese and we all made Taiwanese friends.
Many thanks to the staff and students of the Taichung Institute of Technology.
It was a wonderful experience!
